These terms cover your use of voltagetreeservice.com and the services Voltage Tree Services LLC provides. Using this site means you accept them. If you hire us, a written estimate or service agreement also applies, and where it conflicts with this page, the signed agreement wins.
1. Who we are
Voltage Tree Services LLC, a Texas limited liability company, at 2315 Buchanan St, Wichita Falls, TX 76309. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean Voltage Tree Services LLC. "You" means you.
2. Using this website
Use this site to read about what we do and to get in touch.
Do not use it to break the law. Do not interfere with how it runs, scrape it at scale, or try to get access you were not given. Do not send anyone anything abusive or misleading through it.
3. Estimates and quotes
- Estimates are free and are given after we look at the property.
- An estimate is not a contract. Work begins when you accept it.
- An estimate holds for the period written on it. Prices can move with fuel, disposal costs and season, so ask us to re-quote if you are working from an old one.
- An estimate covers what we could see. Rot inside a trunk, a buried line or a hidden structure can change the job. If that happens we stop and talk to you first.
- Prices shown on this website, including firewood prices, are current at the time of publication and may change.
4. Scheduling, weather and access
- Tree work is weather-dependent. High wind, lightning, ice and saturated ground make it unsafe, and we will reschedule rather than work in conditions that put a crew at risk.
- Emergency work is prioritised by danger, not by the order calls came in. A tree on an occupied house comes before a tree on a lawn.
- Please make sure we can get in on the day. That means gates, keys and codes.
- Move any vehicles, garden furniture or anything else you do not want near the work.
- Please keep people and pets clear of the work area for the whole time we are on site.
5. What you are responsible for
- Telling us whose property it is. By hiring us you confirm you own the property, or that you have the owner's permission for the work.
- Boundaries. If a tree sits on or near a property line, you are responsible for confirming the line and for any agreement with your neighbour. We do not determine boundaries.
- Private underground lines. We arrange marking for public utilities where that is required. Public locate services do not cover private lines. That means sprinklers, invisible dog fences, low-voltage lighting, septic, propane and any power run out to a shed. Show us where those are before we start. We are not liable for damage to a private line nobody marked.
- Permits and approvals. Some trees are protected by city rules. Some properties sit under an HOA, an easement or a historic listing. Checking that is your job, unless we agree in writing to do it for you.
6. What we are responsible for
- Doing the agreed work in a workmanlike manner.
- We are licensed and bonded.
- Clearing the debris we agreed to clear. Where haul-off is included, we remove the wood and brush we cut and rake the work area.
- Telling you if we find something that changes the job, before we do the extra work.
7. Payment
- Payment terms are due on completion.
- Any deposit is applied to the final invoice.
- Late accounts may carry interest at the maximum rate Texas law allows, and you may be responsible for reasonable costs of collection.
- Firewood is sold by the rick or the cord as described on the firewood page, and is payable on delivery.
8. Cancellation
Tell us as soon as you can if you need to cancel or move a booking, and we will work with you. If we cancel or reschedule because of weather or safety, you owe nothing for the cancelled visit.
9. Things we cannot promise
Tree work is not an exact science, and we would rather be straight about that than write a guarantee we cannot honour:
- We cannot guarantee a tree will survive. Pruning, trimming and root work are done with care, but trees respond to weather, disease, drought and soil in ways nobody controls.
- We cannot guarantee no lawn impact. Heavy equipment on soft ground leaves marks. We minimise it. We cannot eliminate it.
- Stump grinding leaves grindings and roots. We grind the stump and flare to the agreed depth. Runner roots away from the stump are not included unless agreed.
- We cannot guarantee a tree will not fail later. Removing a hazard reduces risk. It does not eliminate it, and no honest company will tell you otherwise.
10. Limitation of liability
In plain terms: if something goes wrong, what you can claim from us is capped at what you paid us for that job.
As far as Texas law allows, our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. We are not liable for lost profits. That holds even if we were told those losses were possible.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be limited under Texas law.
11. The website is provided as it is
The content on this site is general information, published in good faith. The guide pages are there to help you understand a subject.
They are not advice about your tree, or about your legal situation. Do not use them in place of someone looking at the tree. For a legal question, talk to a Texas attorney.
This site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows.
12. Photographs of our work
We photograph our own work for our records and to show what we do. Photographs are taken of the work, not of people or of anything identifying. If you would rather we did not photograph the work at your property, tell us and we will not.
13. Our content
The text, photographs, logo and design on this site belong to Voltage Tree Services LLC or are used with permission. You may not copy or republish them without our written consent. You may of course link to us.
14. Disputes
If something goes wrong, call us first. Most problems are solved in a phone call, and we would rather fix it than argue about it.
Texas law governs these terms. If we cannot sort a dispute out between us, it goes to the state or federal courts in Wichita County, Texas. Both sides agree to that.
15. General
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
- Failing to enforce a term once does not waive it.
- We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Using the site after that date means you accept the update.
16. Who may use our services
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. If you are booking on behalf of a company, a church, a school or anyone else, you are telling us you are allowed to commit them to this work and to the price.
17. Covering us for what you told us
In plain terms: if we get sued because something you told us was wrong, you cover that cost.
You agree to cover Voltage Tree Services LLC against claims, damages and reasonable legal costs that come from any of the following:
- Work on a property you did not own, or did not have permission to authorise.
- A private underground line nobody marked for us. See section 5.
- A permit, an HOA rule, an easement or a protected-tree rule that was not checked.
- A boundary you told us was in one place when it was in another.
This does not cover anything caused by our own negligence or misconduct. That stays with us.
18. Ending the work
Either of us can walk away before work starts, and nobody owes anybody anything. We take no deposit, so there is nothing to refund.
Once work has started, if you stop the job you pay for the work done to that point and for any material already bought for it. If we stop the job, you pay only for the part that was finished.
We may decline or stop a job if the site is unsafe, if a line turns out to be live, if the tree is not what it looked like from the ground, or if anyone on site is abusive to our people. If we stop for a safety reason we will tell you why, and we will tell you what we think the job actually needs.
